In many areas of our professional and personal lives we spend enormous amounts of energy to obtain marginal gains. We confuse movement with achievement. Take for example making minutes of meetings: Most likely, none of these minutes will ever be reviewed anyway. A simple action and decision log will do in instead.
If you want to simplify your life, you need to become aware of those moments where you feel a sudden urge to do something. It’s usually better to take your time to be in the moment and think deeply instead.
